A garden like the good old daysVisitors stroll through this private garden just as they did in the gardens of their childhood. Back in the days when people waited in the garden, harvested and understood the cycles of nature.
The colours, the smells, the insects, the different spaces left for plants... a real place of discovery and knowledge!
With our senses awakened, let's set off in search of "Carolingian" plants in Brigitte BACHELIER's garden, and finish off by tasting some of the produce from this "hortus" (kitchen garden).
The work in this garden is based on the Capitulary of Villis (by Charlemagne), with a focus on the symbolism of medieval gardens through the different areas laid out.
