PARC FLORAL DE LA BEAUJOIRE
The Beaujoire floral park A flowery setting on the water's edge
At the crossroads of the rocky plateau and the Bretonnière valley, the Beaujoire floral park offers beautiful views over the River Erdre. The Paul Plantiveau rose garden is now the park's main attraction. This landscaped area combines perennials with almost 17,000 rosebushes, mainly selected for their fragrance. This fragrance is honoured at the International Fragrant Rose Competition, held here every two years in June. The floral park is also home to the national magnolia reference collection, managed by the Conservatoire français de Collections Végétales Spécialisées (CCVS). On the site, there are still traces of the former La Richardière estate and its farm, as well as small quarries used for local purposes. The quarries now serve as a showcase for collections of iris, heather and perennials.Contact
