Parc Départemental de l'Isle Briand
The Parc départemental de l'Isle Briand is located in the heart of Le Lion-d'Angers. It includes a racecourse and a stud farm. There are five kilometres of signposted trails through meadows and woods, all close to the Mayenne towpath.
The Parc National de l'Isle-Briand is a veritable treasure trove of greenery covering almost 180 hectares. Classified as a sensitive natural area, it is home to hundreds of exceptional plant and animal species. From family outings to sporting events, it's also a hub of activity. But the heart of the park is the horse! With dozens of renowned annual events such as the Mondial du Lion, a stud farm where equine reproduction is managed and a racecourse, the Parc Départemental de l'Isle-Briand is a must for lovers of man's greatest conquest!
At the confluence of the Mayenne and Oudon rivers, the park is home to a number of architectural treasures, including an 18th-century château and a 19th-century model farm.
