New museography: "Along the water... Life!The aquatic environments in the Vendée Grand Littoral area are extremely varied. From lakes to rivers, from the Marais Poitevin to salt marshes, from estuaries to coastlines, they offer a mosaic of remarkable landscapes that are first and foremost aesthetically pleasing.
But if you take the time to observe them, you'll discover that they are home to an abundance of life and a rich biodiversity of plants and animals.
Each of these aquatic environments is a complex ecosystem, as precious as it is fragile.

The new museography of the Maison de la biodiversité de la Grenouillère meets 3 objectives of the Communauté de communes Vendée Grand Littoral:
- To promote the region's natural environment, and in particular the biodiversity that
inhabits it
- To raise awareness of the fragility of natural ecosystems
- To create a place dedicated to education in sustainable development, particularly for groups of children on school or leisure outings.
The Grenouillère Interpretation Centre is a place where visitors can experience the environment through their senses and actively seek out information.

Innovative and playful methods are used to achieve this, including tangible tables and listening cones.
It offers visitors, children and adults alike, a journey to the heart of Nature, to reveal its wonders.
The museographic tour includes the showing of an animal documentary entitled "Vendée
Grand Littoral, Regard Nature" in a 25-minute format.
At the gateway to the Marais Poitevin
The Maison de la Grenouillère is an old farmhouse that was renovated in 2008.
Situated at the northern tip of the Marais Poitevin, it opens onto the commune of Saint-Benoist-sur-Mer.
This vast expanse, flooded in winter, is home to a high concentration of migratory birds, which find it a resting place on their journey. In summer, the communal area is a large meadow ideal for grazing cattle.
Just a stone's throw from the Maison de la Grenouillère, visitors are invited to continue their journey of
discover local biodiversity by immersing themselves in nature. On foot along the
