Numerous encounters with poets from a wide range of backgrounds to showcase current literary creation.The mission of the Maison de la Poésie de Nantes is to disseminate contemporary poetry for all audiences. It defends a certain vision of poetry as an art of language with no preconceived forms or themes, affirming on the contrary an infinite freedom of creation, and which maintains creative links with the other arts. It organises poetry evenings and a poetry/music/visual arts festival, cultural events, a library and publishes an annual poetry anthology.
La Maison de la Poésie is a non-profit association established under the law of 1901 in 1986 and supported by the City of Nantes, the Pays de la Loire Region, the Loire-Atlantique Department, the Pays de la Loire DRAC and the Centre National du Livre (for specific initiatives).
