Sentier d'interprétation "Le Rocher du Manis" /!\ Fermé temporairement
!!!! Route closed until 31 December 2025 Meet the climbers where the river has carved out the granite. Viewpoints and a change of scenery guaranteed!
The stream shows you the way. It quickly leaves the car park and plunges down into a steep-sided valley. The granite is already on your route at the bottom of the stream in the form of mossy boulders, then on the steep slopes, hidden beneath carpets of flowers of Wood Hyacinth and magnificent white Asphodel.Soon the view opens out over the valley of the Sèvre Nantaise, which narrows until you arrive at the foot of the "stone colossi".
This magical spot is popular with climbing enthusiasts. More discreet climbers also frequent the area, as evidenced by the crottiers on the prominent stones (the marten or the very rare genet). Holes in the old trees indicate the presence of other climbing aces (woodpeckers, woodcreepers, nuthatches, etc.).
The GR continues along the river towards the bridge and the old Grenon mill. We recommend that you retrace your steps back to the car park. This is another opportunity to enjoy the scenery and count the dragonflies, which are plentiful in fine weather in the late afternoon.
