La Ferme de la Châtaigneraie
Jean-François and his two employees have been rearing Normande cows and their Normande-Limousin calves since 1993.
In 2009, Ferme de la Chataîgneraie became an organic farm, and the cattle only eat the grass that grows there.
Jean-François is happy to show off his animals, his farm and his work, and offers to act as a guide for curious visitors, by prior arrangement.
A partner of "De La Terre à L'Assiette", Ferme de la Chataîgneraie offers a number of products from nearby organic farms, including lamb, pork and poultry, as well as pâtés, rillettes and other duck delicacies.
Jean-François' products: Organic beef and milk-fed veal, sold in 10 kg boxes (to order).
