The gîte, next door to the owners' house, is situated in a quiet street, a stone's throw from Doué-la-Fontaine town centre and shops. On your arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by your hosts, Marité and Louis, who will be delighted to give you sightseeing tips and share their love of the region with you.
There are private outdoor areas (parking and enclosed garden) and shared leisure facilities: solar-heated swimming pool, bowling green. The gîte has free WIFI access. "La Rose de Bois" (the owners will explain the origin and the pretty story behind this name), 65 m², on one level, sleeps 4 people. For children: board games available and outdoor games (tree house and slide).
Doué-la-Fontaine has a number of tourist attractions: Bioparc, Mystère des faluns, Cave aux sarcophages, Musée aux Anciens Commerces, les Troglos de la Sablière, Poterie de la Rose bleue, and the troglodyte village of Louresse-Rochemenier. Theme parks such as Futuroscope and Puy-du-Fou are just an hour's drive away. Terra Botanica near Angers, where you can spend a day in a fabulous garden, and working wine and mushroom cellars. Hiking and cycling trails are available along the banks of the Loire and Thouet rivers.
