Le calvaire de Messan

An original obelisk-shaped Calvary ... It was erected in 1847, nine years after that of the Place de la Concorde in Paris. We can see places for three statues: Saint-Vierge, Saint-Joseph and Saint-Martin.

SAINT-MICHEL-EN-L'HERM

The abbey was founded in 682 AD on a limestone islet. Following the Concordat of 1516, it became a royal abbey.

LE GUE-DE-VELLUIRE

There used to be the Sainte Macrine chapel, exactly where this church is now.

LUCON

The chapel was founded in February 1400 by Nicolas Febvre, chaplain of the hospital, so that the sick could access the services.

LUÇON

Although it has been the seat of the diocese since 1317, Luçon cathedral has a much longer history.
