LA CROIX DES VENDEENS

A cross has been lying in the middle of the Princé forest since 1962. It is actually a cross erected on the initiative of the Souvenir Vendéen association. It is dedicated to the victims of the Vendée Wars.

The abbey was founded in 682 AD on a limestone islet. Following the Concordat of 1516, it became a royal abbey.
