ÉGLISE SAINT-JOUIN

The only fortified Romanesque church in the département.

The only fortified Romanesque church in the département, it was built as a place of worship and a safe haven from invading warriors, as evidenced by the central tower pierced with loopholes. This tower was used to defend the village. It is made of schist masonry and supports the bell tower with a pepperpot topped by a 17th-18th century spire.
