CHAPELLE NOTRE DAME DU BIGNON

Originally dedicated to St Jacques, the Notre Dame du Bignon du Gorron chapel houses a statue of the Virgin and Child which has regained its place after the revolutionary turmoil. The chapel was rebuilt in the 19th century.

Abbaye Royale

SAINT-MICHEL-EN-L'HERM

The abbey was founded in 682 AD on a limestone islet. Following the Concordat of 1516, it became a royal abbey.
