CHAPELLE DE FRÉLIGNÉ
Romanesque chapel located between Touvois and Falleron.
It was built in the 13th century with its baptismal font and three-lobed credenza, then altered in the 16th century and restored in the 19th century. The stained glass windows only date from 1885.
Before the 1960s, a large-scale pilgrimage took place on 8 September - the feast day of the Nativity of the Virgin - between this chapel and the "bubbling" fountain located 1km further on towards Touvois, where legend has it that Charette's thirsty horse discovered this spring by scraping the ground with his hoof.
It is so called because bubbles sometimes rise to the surface of the shallow well.
The chapel is open every day of the year, thanks to the inhabitants of the hamlet who are responsible for looking after it.
