Cimetière de l'Ouest

A place of remembrance to remember.

The West Cemetery is the largest cemetery in Le Mans, covering more than 10 hectares. It is also the oldest, having replaced the old Grand Cimetière in 1834. Considered to be the "Père Lachaise" of Le Mans, the cemetery was quickly overwhelmed by its success, particularly in the aftermath of the Second World War.
