Les Étangs Potier

Discover this new 3.5-hectare public green space in Saint-Georges-de-Pointindoux, Vendée.

The Potier ponds, located in rue de la Citadelle in Saint-Georges-de-Pointindoux, once belonged to Bernard Potier, whose family was well known in the commune.

The town council, which acquired the property in July 2023, wants the site to be a lively place where visitors can stroll and contemplate the landscape offered by the ponds.

Fishermen will also find something to suit them with the opening of fishing in the two 1.7 ha and 4,000 m² ponds (under federal legislation with the Gaule du Jaunay association).

Fishing pass required (on sale at the Tourist Office, bookable by telephone on 02 51 05 90 49 or at the ticket office).
- Fishing limited to 2 rods
- No-Kill Black Bass fishing

Practical information:
- Swimming and boating prohibited
- Pets must be kept on a lead
