The wooden floor has deteriorated and the joists need to be repaired.

The Toyères site is one of the most picturesque in the Alpes Mancelles: a wild "end of the world" on the borders of the Sarthe and Mayenne departments.
The platform overlooks the gorges of the Sarthe, with a drop of almost 70 metres. Here, the river has carved majestic meanders into the granite rock. The river Sarthe is over 310 km long, rising in the Orne and joining the Mayenne to form the Maine. The construction of locks in the 19th century downstream of Le Mans made it navigable, allowing goods from the Loire and further afield to be transported upstream... Today, the Sarthe upstream of Le Mans, crossing the Alpes Mancelles, has remained more authentic and attracts fishing enthusiasts and kayakers...
