BALUDIK - EN'QUÊTE DE PLANTES AU PARC DES GARENNES

En'Quête de plantes au Parc des Garennes: On the slate, plants and people. Dry lawn plants like foam on the slate's bluish waves. And in the hollows of the old quarries, in stark contrast, ponds filled with water lilies and even bog plants!

Here's a fun and original way to discover botany in a very special place in the Loire Valley, a very old slate quarry site that has been reclaimed by nature. Welcome to En'Quête de plantes in the Parc des Garennes!

HOW DOES IT WORK IN PRACTICE?

This walk is open to families with no prior botanical knowledge required.

Install the free Baludik application on your smartphone, available from the App Store or Google Play.
Once in the app, search the map for the En'Quête de plantes trail in the Parc des Garennes.
Go to the start point on the Chemin du Bois Guillou, in front of the future Park House (currently under construction).
En'Quêteurs are guided by geolocation and clues. At each stage, they have to complete a mission, which may involve answering a quiz, taking a photo, making a drawing, finding a plant or putting together a puzzle, finding an object hidden in nature, etc.

Precautions: The walk is possible all year round, but recommended in spring and summer.
Before setting off, be sure to recharge your phone battery and set your geolocation data to GPS mode only.
