Arboretum des Chênes du Monde

Before your hike, discover this oak arboretum between Nantes and Cholet.

The starting point for the "Autour des Chênes" hiking trail (9.7 km) to which it gives its name, the oak arboretum is a reminder of the Pépinière Bastard that made the small commune of Saint Philbert en Mauges famous until the early 2010s.

The owner of the nursery had built up an internationally-renowned collection of over 150 oak trees, supplying some of the finest gardens in the world.

Specimens from different countries in the northern hemisphere have been planted here, with a sign in front of each one explaining its characteristics.
