The Chapelle du Genêteil is a contemporary art centre run by Le Carré, the national stage, which has been welcoming artists for some fifteen years to enable them to carry out projects specific to the site. A Romanesque building dating from the 12th century with a sober architecture, the building itself imposes the creation and production of works in situ. With more than 8,000 visitors in 2011, the Genêteil chapel continues to fulfil its multiple missions: promoting national and international creative work, supporting and accompanying artists, offering mediation and raising awareness of the works adapted to all audiences, organising trips, conferences and meetings... So many events to complement the exhibitions.

La Chapelle is closed for restoration work. Le Carré is moving to a new exhibition space within the Pôle culturel Les Ursulines: Le 4bis.
