L'Île Jardin de Kervolan
"At Île-Jardin de Kervolan, I want to show you that gardening or creating a sustainable ecosystem is easy, and that by working with nature and respecting its principles, you can save a lot of time and energy:
- Design a place full of life,
- Regenerate a garden,
- Obtaining harvests!
Since 2001, on a windy site with heavy soil, understanding the soil's food web (bacteria, fungi, animals and insects, roots, etc.), observing how plants function (photosynthesis, phyto-sociology, pioneer plants....), the application of the ethics and principles of permaculture combined with a concern for aesthetics enable me to grow trees, shrubs, berries, vegetables, aromatic and wild plants, edible flowers in a 'mosaic' garden... To create a magical place that ensures our (almost) self-sufficiency in fruit and vegetables, provides me with an income and fills me with joy day after day. This 'utopia' is possible in your own backyard too!
