Parcours découverte "Saint-Céneri sur le Motif"

The "Saint-Céneri sur le motif" (Saint-Céneri on the motif) discovery trail is marked out by 8 stages with desks on which the picturesque landscapes painted by the artists have been reproduced.

For two centuries, the rugged landscapes of the Alpes Mancelles and the banks of the Sarthe have attracted painters. Open-air landscape painting, known as "sur le motif", came into its own with the Impressionists. Many of them stayed at Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei during this period. The "Saint-Céneri sur le motif" (Saint-Céneri on the motif) discovery trail is divided into 8 stages, each with a desk on which the picturesque landscapes painted by the artists have been reproduced.

The interpretation trail comprises several routes starting from the riverside car park:
- Town and chapel loop with return trip to the bridge 1.4 kilometres
- Round trip to the Moulin de Trotté 2.4 kilometres or return via the GR 36 3.7 kilometres
- Round trip to Pierre Bécue 3.2 kilometres
