Balade "Contes et Légendes"
This walking trail is punctuated by interpretation points on the beliefs and legends of Champtoceaux. The walk takes in the Champalud panorama, the banks of the Loire, an old fishing village and the Luce stream. So let yourself be tempted by the local legends!
This short 2.5-kilometre footpath, signposted in green, starts from the unmissable Champalud panorama and is the ideal way to reach the Loire from the village.From the Champalud gardens, head down towards the Loire through a mysterious tunnel in the Cédraie gardens. This will lead you to the verdant Coulée de la Luce, a natural area full of local legends. From here, you'll reach the old fishing village of La Patache, a particularly quiet and picturesque hamlet that's sure to charm you. On the way back, you'll walk along the Loire and past the ruins of the ancient fortifications of the Champtoceaux citadel, back up to the village and finish your loop in front of the two entrance towers of this ancient citadel.
If you wish to extend the distance and discover more of Champtoceaux, you can complete this circuit with the medieval trail (4 kilometres), signposted in red.

Beware, the path can be steep and there is a difference in altitude. This walk is not suitable for pushchairs or people with walking difficulties!
