Boule de fort Saint Vincent, à Brissac Loire Aubance

Discover this typical Anjou game, a real cultural phenomenon in the region.

The Cercle Saint Vincent de Brissac has been in existence since 1905 and plays this game of not quite round boules, which are thrown on a not quite flat pitch. On a curved track, players try to get as close as possible to a jack, known here as the "Maître". The club organises internal competitions throughout the year, as well as external competitions with other clubs in the Anjou region. To preserve and pass on this local heritage, in 2008 the Cercle Saint Vincent set up a school for youngsters, who train once a week.
The society opens its doors to visitors by appointment.
