The Les Salorges Cultural centre offers a rich and varied programme all year long: exhibitions, performances, cultural meetings...
The Les Salorges Cultural centre was built at the heart of the city, along the port in an ancient salt store. The centre meets the artistic needs of the city but also of the entire Island of Noirmoutier. It hosts concerts, plays, dance persormances... the auditorium can welcome up to 395 spectators ans is accessible to disabled people.
Exhibition room: the Les Salorges Cultural centre has an exhibition room at its disposal. Each summer, several artists exhibits their work in this atypical room, equiped with old-style cymas.
The Theatre Festival: created in 1993, the Noirmoutier-en-l'île festival takes place during the three first weeks of August each year. The programme is mainly theatrical. The performances take place on three sites (2 outdoor places and one indoor). Each year, the festival welcomes between 5,000 and 6,000 spectators. Patrick Pelloquet and the permanent team of the Pays de la Loire Regional Theatre insure the artistic and administrative responsibility of the Festival - http://www.trpl.fr
