Vendée Va'a - Courses de pirogues polynésiennes

The SAPOVAYE association invites you to Les Sables d'Olonne to share the spirit of Va'a and Polynesian culture.
280 rowers are taking part, divided into 25 teams.

3 days of sporting events :
- 128 km for the men
- 56 km for the women
- Haka and mass start
- Passage through the legendary Les Sables d'Olonne channel

As well as the sporting event, there will be a cultural programme to introduce the public to Polynesian culture and the essential values of the va'a.
From Wednesday to Saturday, a Polynesian village will be on hand to showcase the riches and traditional skills of Polynesia. Exhibitors present their Polynesian products.
For 4 days, the town of Les Sables d'Olonne will be creating a truly warm and colourful atmosphere with a host of cultural events and activities.
