Mirabilia - Histoire Naturelle et Art Contemporain

Bouquets and vegetables illustrated from life, herbariums and alguiers composed in the 19th century, underwater landscapes by Nicolas Floc'h, strange blooms by Clément Richem, photographs of edibles by Sachiko Morita and facetious bouquets by Sébastien Gouju... Like a cabinet of curiosities, the exhibition brings together Mirabilia (marvels or admirable things), reminding us of what is rare, unusual and precious about nature. More than 90 photographs, installations, videos, herbariums... give us a glimpse of a nature that is both real and fantasised.

To raise awareness and respect and engender a desire to take care, Mirabilia instils the notion of treasure, even wonder, in the face of the things of nature.
