DOMAINE DU CLOS DE L'ELU
In January 2008, Charlotte and Thomas embarked on their winegrowing adventure with the acquisition of the Clos de l'Elu estate, in the schist soils of Anjou Noir.
With several years' experience as a wine consultant (Thomas) and in communications and management (Charlotte), they both passionately lead the life of this estate, which is built on the finest terroirs in the Layon valley. The 20 hectares are farmed organically, and a structured range of wines is in place. Although it was chenin that attracted Thomas to Anjou, the red grape varieties (cabernet franc, grolleau, pineau d'aunis) have not failed to inspire him, with vintages that are both rich and deep, expressive and full of finesse.Practical information
