On the Routes des Vins du Val de Loire, this 35km wine tour will take you through the land of Mareuil and its Fiefs Vendéens. Set off by bike for 35 km of discovery, wine tasting and carpe diem!

Mareuil-sur-Lay-Dissais is the starting point for this wine tour. Before setting off, stock up on provisions for a good picnic. Visit the local shops for rillons and a fresh baguette, and of course a Vendée brioche for dessert. Once you've packed your picnic basket, hop on your bike and off you go!

On the small paths winding through the vineyards, put your feet down to taste a Fiefs Vendéens appellation wine at a winery. You'll have the chance to chat with a winegrower and visit his cellar. Don't forget to take away one or more bottles of Mareuil red, white or rosé! While you're at l'Eveillerie, take a stroll past the stone houses that make up the charm of this small Vendée village.

The paths will guide you to the Conservatoire de la Négrette. Here, you can explore ancient grape varieties and enjoy a well-earned picnic, accompanied by a glass of Mareuil wine, in the designated area.

Further north, the loop takes you to the Chaussée de Chavagnes, for a stroll along the Yon, a tributary of the Lay, the river of Vendée. Before returning to Mareuil, make the most of the last estates to taste other wines.
