La Bergerie du Brandais
Created in 2019, La Bergerie du Brandais, in Talmont-Saint-Hilaire, specialises in the production of organic ewe's milk.
Lacaune breed dairy ewes
The flock of 340 ewes graze between 9 and 11 months!
Limousin cows
The herd of 25 cows graze for around 10 months of the year.
Local markets and direct farm sales of quality local produce:
- Vendée ewe - 2.5kg
- Ewe with Fenugreek - 2.5kg
- Tomme de brebis +6 months maturing period
- Délice de Brebis - 2.5kg
- P'tit Littoral - 400g
- Camem'Bêe - about 250g
- Fromage Blanc
- Plain or flavoured fromage frais
- Semi-dry
Vegetables, cow's milk yoghurts and chicken, all organic and from local producers.
And also meat sales (date scheduled): lambs, cows and calves reared on the farm.
Farm sales:
- Wednesdays from 3pm to 6.30pm
- Fridays from 10am to 12.30pm and from 3pm to 6.30pm
- Saturdays from 10am to 12.30pm
From Easter to mid-August, you can watch the ewes being milked on Wednesdays.
