La Sablière" trail L'Ile D'Elle 8.2km
Its name bears witness to the island nature of the villages that make up our territory. Named "Insulae de Ella" in the 12th century, the village became "L'Isle d'Elle" in the 14th century. Attached to the former province of Aunis, L'Ile d'Elle became a Vendée commune in 1791, during the French Revolution.
