Circuit PR "Tour du Pays Gesnois", 9 km

A 9km looping route to enjoy the heritage and countryside of Gesnes-le-Gandelin.

In the foothills of the Alpes Mancelles, Gesnes-le-Gandelin is located 40 km north of Le Mans. Archaeological digs carried out in 1990 revealed human occupation of the rocky outcrop of Saint-Evroult since the Neolithic period.
Over the centuries, the village has developed thanks to agriculture and weaving activities, including the renowned Alençon stitch lace. This route will take you through rolling countryside with lovely views.

Things to see along the way:
- La Maréchalerie ;
- Saint Pierre Church, 11th, 14th and 19th centuries;
- The presbytery;
- Several wash-houses;
- Château de Vaux, 19th century (private) and the Moulin l'Étang;
- Undergrowth and panoramic views.
