Circuit PR "Les méandres de le Sarthe"

A 16km route marked out in yellow, with frequent changes in altitude, and situated in semi-shade.

50 km north of Le Mans, Saint-Léonard-des-Bois and Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei are two Petites Cités de Caractère® (Small Towns of Character), the second of which has also been awarded the Plus Beaux Villages
de France®. Set in the Normandie-Maine Regional Nature Park, in the heart of the Alpes Mancelles nature reserve, the two villages are characterised by their steep, rocky mountain landscapes. They form veritable belvederes from which to appreciate the highly picturesque winding valley carved out by the Sarthe.

Things to see along the way:
- The Gasseau estate ;
- Saint Léonard- des- Bois, which has been awarded the Petites Cités de Caractère® label;
- The Sphinx rock or Grand Patis scree;
- The Alpes Mancelles ;
- Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei, classified as a Petites Cités de Caractère® and Plus Beaux Villages de France®;
- The Trotté mill;
- Panoramic views over the valley carved out by the Sarthe.
