CIRCUIT DU BOIVRE

Loop of 12,7km to discover the protected dunes of Saint-Brevin and the Pierre Attelée forest. Accessible only during the dry season.

A 12.7km walk to discover the protected dunes of Brévin and the unspoilt forest of Pierre Attelée.

The Boivre circuit, accessible only in the dry season, starts from the Rochelets district, joins the coastal path and runs alongside the protected Brevin dunes to reach the Pierre Attelée forest, the last preserved coastal forest on the Côte de Jade. Further on, the Boivre marsh, an ancient maritime gulf filled in by alluvial deposits and isolated from the sea by a dune, attracts a large number of birds in all seasons.

As the official itinerary takes in the coastal path and therefore the GR8 (pedestrian), this route cannot be cycled in its entirety. Alternative route for cyclists (not listed on the PDIPR): from the starting point, take Avenue Emile Polo and Avenue Alexandre Bernard. Turn left onto allée des Cigales and follow the Vélocéan/Vélodyssée signs to rue de la Pierre Levée. Then follow the yellow signs.
