Loop of 12,4 km to discover the Loire river sides and the green countryside of Saint-Viaud.
A 12.4km walking and cycling circuit exploring the banks of the Loire and the lush green countryside of the Vitalienne region.The Bords de Loire trail starts at the Saint-Viaud leisure centre, with its many outdoor activities, and takes you along the banks of the river through its typical villages. Along the way, you can spot the footprint of St Vital on the Croix Cantin rock and admire the exceptional flora and fauna of the marshes you pass through.
A remarkable heritage awaits you along the way, as the commune of Saint-Viaud includes numerous seigneuries, farms and mills.
Bonus: the route links up with the Loire à Vélo and Vélodyssée cycle routes for a great cycling getaway to Paimboeuf or Le Migron (Frossay) if you feel like it!
