CIRCUIT DE LA BOUCLE DE SÉVIGNÉ
A 15.7km circuit starting from the Jules Verne car park.
The Sévigné loop starts like the Paquelais loop, in the lower Gesvres Valley. It winds its way through the high plateaux, with gradients of around forty metres, before descending into the Vallée du Cens. From its source in the hanging hedgerows of the plateau to its confluence with the Erdre, the Gesvres remains a discreet river, away from the historic development of the towns. This is the last bridge in the commune: the Gesvres has already travelled 8 km and received water from 9 tributaries. This very pretty bridge has four arches, the fourth of which is justified by a final tributary. The Calvaire de Valais (Valais Calvary) was built in 1862, and near to it is the gutter of an old apple crusher, which is still in perfect condition.
