Discover Valanjou's heritage on this walking trail: Le Bois de Lala.
The Château de Gonnord is the main starting point: this ancient fortified castle is a place rich in the history of the Mauges, dating back to the 10th century.
Burnt down during the Revolution, it was sold as national property before the stones were used for building. The façade was listed as a Historic Monument in 1926. Now owned by the local authority, it houses a boule de fort and an auditorium.
