Les Ammonites is a three-bedroom character house with swimming pool, surrounded by large gardens flanked by an orchard, situated in a quiet hamlet 5 minutes' drive from all amenities.

The quality of the existing materials and the care taken in its restoration make this a comfortable, modern house of character.
Thanks to its thick stone walls, it is cosy and keeps cool in summer.
The house faces east and south, while the gardens and swimming pool face south-west.
The swimming pool is heated by a solar collector.

The courtyard at the front of the gite provides parking for several vehicles.

The house opens onto a 60 m2 living room with stone walls, oak beams and terracotta floor tiles.
This large space is open and welcoming, with a kitchen, lounge, study area, cloakroom and wc with washbasin.

The kitchen is open plan, opening onto a family table.
It is equipped with a 5-burner piano, two ovens, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster and coffee maker, and a range of crockery and cutlery.

The living room is very comfortable, and in between seasons you can enjoy the warmth of the wood-burning stove in the large original fireplace.
The living room is equipped with a television (French and British TV), DVD player, a selection of books, DVDs & games and secure WiFi throughout the house as well as 4G outside.

From the living room, a door leads to the terrace and enclosed garden at the rear of the house. There is a terrace with barbecue, picnic table, teak garden furniture tables and chairs, several parasols, and the central area is sheltered by a pergola. An ideal place to watch the sunset with a glass of local wine! This terrace is shared with the other 4-person gite, but there are enough tables and chairs for both gites.

A staircase equipped with child safety gates leads to the first floor of our gite.

Upstairs, a light and spacious corridor leads to the three bedrooms, shower room, separate toilet and washbasin. The three bedrooms are delightful, with soft, diffused lighting highlighting the noble materials used, and carefully decorated. One has a double bed, the other two have twin beds. All have wardrobes, shelves and bedside tables.
A cot is available on request for younger guests.

For your comfort, Les Ammonites can be fully heated. To accommodate you for most of the year, it is equipped with radiators in every room and a towel warmer in the shower room.

Les Ammonites overlooks the Petit Lay valley, offering magnificent panoramic views. This location allows you to enjoy the summer evenings and admire the absolutely superb sunsets! In summer, the days are warm and sunny and the evenings mild and clear. You can also admire the Milky Way and the many shooting stars in August. There are swings for the children and Paul organises kite flying.
The house is open for rental from early April to early November.
