EGLISE SAINT MARTIN

Located in the town's old suburb, Saint-Martin church was built from the 11th century onwards.

Located in the town's old suburb, Saint-Martin church was built in the 11th century. Altered on several occasions, the church was enlarged in the 19th century with the addition of aisles and an ambulatory flanked by two radiating chapels.
It features Romanesque capitals, an 18th-century wooden altarpiece and a 16th-century wooden statue of Saint Martin, patron saint of the parish.
Part of the church was destroyed by bombing on 9 June 1944. Reconstruction and restoration work continued until the 1970s.
From the square, there is a lovely panoramic view over the town.
