Eglise Saint Jean Baptiste

One of the highest churches in Loire-Atlantique.

Neo-Gothic church (1858-1875) built by the architect Faucher. Here you can admire the listed fresco of St Gilles (1170-1180) and the fresco of the 1914-1918 war by Abbé Bouchaud (1926), the listed Bas-relief of Moses (1821) by Dominique Molchnecht, the pulpit by the same artist (1821) listed as a Historic Monument in 1982 and the painting of St John the Baptist (1827) by Belloc listed as a gift from King Charles X to the town of Le Loroux Bottereau after the Vendée wars. The bell tower is 75 m high.
