SÉQUOIA GÉANT - MEURCÉ
Visible from afar (you can even see it from the Perseigne lookout), the giant sequoia at Meurcé is astonishingly large: 42 metres high! And you'll need several people if you want to go all the way round its 7.40m circumference.
There are rumours in and around the village that it was planted under Louis XIV, but the species was not discovered by Europeans until the early 19th century...
Whatever its age, one thing's for sure: you can't miss it in the village!
