Les roches dorees - Plage de la Rinais

Here we savor the calm of a small soft sand beach and the special charm of the coast.
From the Plage de la Rinais you have direct access to the famous coastal path towards Pornic. The start is a bit sporty, you have to find and climb the steps carved into the cliff near the small turret, but the effort is worth it, the place is magnificent. If you are worried about the difficulty, you will find much easier and easier access to the trail from the next beach, La Boutinardière. Follow the bottom of the cliffs at low tide! Direction La Bernerie, the rocky coast offers a very varied palette of shades, ranging from gray through amber to red-rust. Ferruginous water sources cross the wall and give this color. You will notice that there is still a tap inserted in the cliff. This is where curists came to drink their health in the last century.
Your gaze will be drawn to this strange hexagonal tower at the top of the cliff. It is the VORUZ Tower, a privileged viewpoint of the area called "Voruzerie". Mr. Voruz was a wealthy shipowner from Nantes who owned this property. The remains of his personal port can still be seen near the beach.
