La table d'orientation de Saint-Cyr-en-Retz

From the orientation table located on the heights of the village of St Cyr at an altitude of 34 meters, we can imagine the old Gulf of Machecoul and the shores of the former "Bay of Brittany". Today the sea has disappeared, it has given way to the Breton marsh.

Presentation of: La table d'orientation de Saint-Cyr-en-Retz

The panorama offers a view of the wind turbines of Bouin, the Pays de Monts, the Bay of Bourgneuf. (easier visibility on a clear day).

Two marked hiking trails start from the orientation table; "Le Bocage" and "Les Hauts de St Cyr".

On the site of the current table, a first table created by the pornic artist Paul UFER was installed in the 70s. In 2015, the friends of the Pays de Retz, financed a plaque retracing the different points visible on the panorama original; the wind turbines of Bouin, the bridge of Noirmoutier, the Breton marsh, the bell tower of the church of Bouin...

Access to the table is possible all year round, free parking is located next door.
