LA CORNICHE ANGEVINE
Between the Loire and Layon rivers, the Corniche Angevine is an emblematic 2,500-hectare site.
Reaching a height of around 100 metres, it is the result of a fault caused by a volcanic eruption millions of years ago. It offers breathtaking views over the whole of the Loire and Louet valleys. So it's between Rochefort and Chalonnes, at La Haie-Longue, that you should stop and enjoy a viewpoint over the Loire Valley, with an orientation table and a view of the vineyards of the Anjou region. The jewel of the Corniche is the roadside Chapelle Sainte Barbe des Mines. You can also visit the chevalement des Malécots along the Corniche.
