Domaine national du Château d'Angers
At the heart of the city of Angers, city of art and history, stands the Angers chateau. Built in the thirteenth century, the fortress, with its 17 shale and limestone towers, houses the famous Apocalypse Tapestry.
The town's emblem, the castle proudly dominates the Maine on its rocky promontory. The building conceals the famous 600-year-old Tapestry, a masterpiece of medieval art. Access to the monument is free for Angers City Pass holders.
