The little secrets of the 24 Hours of Le Mans racetrack

It's a part of the site that the general public doesn't usually get to see. The "technical gallery" is a secret passage that allows officials or journalists to move from one end of the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit to the other, under the track itself. Well, now you can explore it too, led by a tour guide from the heritage service who doesn't skimp on anecdotes! They'll take you from surprise to surprise along this amazing tour organised by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon, upon reservation at the official boutique...

Explore places closed to the general public

The list of delights includes a discovery of the legendary podium that stands alongside the legendary straight line that features the finishing line. You can even climb onto it! Further on, you can look around the paddocks, where technicians and engineers work during the competition, as well as the stands where drivers fill up for a few seconds. You'll also see the panoramic balcony that offers the finest view of the racetrack, the VIP boxes, the officials' restaurant perched up high, the press room and more. Independent tours are also possible.

Keep the fun going at the 24 Hours of Le Mans Museum

If you want to prolong the experience, head for the 24 Hours of Le Mans Museum, located near the main entrance. There, you can see a collection including over one hundred vehicles and racing cars that tell the story of the famous competition, as well as the automotive history of Sarthe. Numerous collection objects complement the tour, as well as films, photographs and even a giant model of the racetrack. On your marks!
