26.7 kilometres long1, the Gesvres rises in the wet meadows between Le Temple-de-Bretagne and Vigneux-de-Bretagne, at an altitude of 84 metres, at a place called La Charbonnière, to the north-east of the Route Nationale 1652. It then flows through the communes of Treillières and La Chapelle-sur-Erdre, and from the motorway junction between the A11 and the Nantes ring road (Porte de Gesvres), marks part of the boundary between La Chapelle and Nantes, right up to its confluence with the Erdre slightly downstream of the Jonelière bridge.Contact
