Observatoire ornithologique de la Provostière

This 80-hectare lake is linked to the Lac de Vioreau by the rigole des Ajaux, and is the ideal place to discover the riches of nature, with its footpath, interpretation panels and bird observatory.

As you make your way along the "Circuit de l'Étang de la Provostière", take a break to observe the wildlife on the site. Located on the 5.5 km hiking trail around the pond, the ornithological observatory is a great place to spot birds such as kingfishers, black-headed gulls, herring gulls, cormorants, great crested grebes, grey herons, egrets, coots and moorhens.
