Day 2 : Unusual rail bike ride and the history of hemp textiles
Morning: Pedal along the old railway line
Straddle your bike and set off on the Saint-Loup-du-Gast velo-rail for a sporty and unusual ride in the heart of nature. For 6 km, you'll ride along the old railway line, overlooking the Mayenne from the Rosserie viaduct. A unique, fun experience for all the family!
Afternoon: Dive into the history of hemp
Head for the Musée des Tisserands d'Ambrières-les-Vallées, a Musée de France® that traces the history of hemp textiles back to the 18th century. A captivating and instructive visit, which will give you a better understanding of the roots of this local culture. Then take a contemplative break in the park of the Ambrières-les-Vallées Town Hall. Day 3 : A medieval and aquatic day
Morning: Hiking in the medieval town
Put on your walking shoes and set out to conquer Ambrières-les-Vallées, founded by William the Conqueror in the 11th century. Over 9.1 km, this hike offers remarkable views of the medieval site and its lake, for a total immersion in history and nature.
Afternoon: Aquatic relaxation
After the effort, the comfort! Enjoy free access to the heated outdoor swimming pool, located right next to the Ambrières-les-Vallées campsite. Slide, swim and laugh!
Day 4 : Nature in all its forms
Morning: A stroll through the Jardin des Renaudies
The Jardin des Renaudies in Colombiers-du-Plessis opens its doors to you for an enchanting stroll through an English-style floral park. Spread over 3.5 hectares, discover over 3,000 varieties of plants (rhododendrons, azaleas, hydrangeas, camellias, perennials, roses, etc.), trees and shrubs, and let yourself be enchanted by the colors and fragrances of the gardens. From mid-July to mid-October, children will be delighted by the corn maze and other family activities.
