LES CUIVRES EN FOLIE

For its spring concert, the Orchestre d'Harmonie de Challans welcomes Epsilon, one of the world's leading brass quartets.

The ensemble has performed on all five continents and won numerous international awards.

"Instrumental music is an evanescent art, a sandcastle. It must constantly be built, developed, maintained and repaired". This quote from Maurice André, patron of the Quatuor Epsilon, has been applied to the letter by these musicians. Their playing, so fragile yet so consistent, has been shaped by their protector, who explained himself as follows: "I forged my staccato on the piano, my low register on the cello, my melodies on the lyricism of the violin, my fast notes on the clarinet".
