Originating in Finland, this outdoor physical activity, also known as "Nordic Walking", involves all the muscles and does more than just putting one foot in front of the other.
It is practised with specially designed walking poles. These allow you to maximise your pushing movement, increase your speed when propelling yourself and maintain a more upright posture than in conventional walking.
